Everything was born after God created light. "Light" is not only a physical phenomenon that cannot be ignored, but also the only common subject that artists, philosophers, and architects are constantly thinking about. It has a divinity that transcends different religions, makes everything appear, and reveals the essence of things. From the architect Kirby to Tadao Ando who was influenced by him, from the watercolor painter Turner to the light and shadow installation artist Terrell, they all look for light sources in their creations. Philosophers try to understand light in words, artists try to capture light with brushes, and architects try to leave light behind with transparent glass.

This "Architectural Pouring Glass" is an installation artwork designed by three parties and produced by Master Shi Senbin.

The passage of the work is very narrow and can only accommodate 2-3 people at a time. The simple form makes the atmosphere of the space superior to the outside and becomes a barrier to the outside world, and the natural cathartic light endows this space with sacredness and crowds of viewers. It can settle quietly in the hustle and bustle of the city, and become a prayer room that urbanites can carry with them.

The artist Shi Senbin has always been good at combining glass art with public spaces. Starting from the glass murals in "Hua Zang World" to "Heart in the Mountains and Waters" in the center of Shanghai, he has always tried to use glass as his brush to create a sense of temperature and texture. Works of art. The viewer can not only perceive the picture visually, but also feel the temperature of molten art like glass through the sense of touch.

Since the establishment of a branch in Shanghai, an international organization such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), it has also been trying to use local media, artistic creations, exchanges and cooperation with them, so that the works of American architects can be better. Adapt to the local culture.

Today, when architectural art is increasingly aroused by people in the contemporary art world, ART021 also hopes that through participation in architectural creation, everyone can think about whether the boundary between architecture and art can be independent or integrated.

This year Shi Senbin is determined to continue to innovate in art, and co-planned and created this work with AIASH and Art021. They are trying to answer how architecture and art are related? And what spark will the traditional glass process join?

The work is a collection of the many ideas that 30 members convened through AIASH in a one-day workshop (Charette). From construction to assembly, it is required to be completed on the same day, so that everything from creative conception to assembly belongs to the "flash mode" Behavior is relatively new in the contemporary art world. Charette is a customary method of creation in the architectural world, requiring the completion of the design in a limited time. In future art fairs, this work will be seen with everyone.
