The most eye-catching item at the press conference is undoubtedly "Shanghai Eyes", which is a sculpture based on the artistic creation of the dampers of the building. The styling inspiration is inspired by the mythical image of "Candle Dragon" in the ancient Chinese mythology "Shan Hai Jing": "The god of Zhongshan is called candle yin, which is regarded as day, staring at night, blowing for winter, calling for summer, no Drinking, not eating, restless, breathing is the wind.” The shape of the sculpture is a three-sided symmetrical and deep and empty "eye of the void", full of wrinkles and mechanisms. The polished base of natural water ripples with a diameter of 9.1 meters symbolizes the balance and stability of the damper. The total weight of the core sculpture and the damping box is 19.06 tons.

It is worth mentioning that the 519 decorative colored glaze jade hanging on the outside of the skeleton were designed and produced by the famous colored glaze artist Shi Senbin and his team. With the change of light and shadow, "Shanghai Eyes" presents a special shocking visual effect of "think of day and night" in the morning, noon and evening, and it is exceptionally clear and elegant against the transparent glazed jade. After years of exploration and research, Master Shi Senbin has incorporated the unique material and craftsmanship of glazed jade into it. At the same time, the entire space is wrapped in brass and spiraled up to the top of the building, making the entire space and artwork full of "sacredness". , Mystery, and magic.

The glazed jade part of "Shanghai Eyes" took 2 years from creation, design, and completion. Combining its position at the highest point in Shanghai and the function of the damper itself, it means "seeing the smallest things into the hearts of the people, seeing the wide range of things", hope Yimu "Shanghai Eyes" keeps one side safe and prosperous.
